Transformative Meditation Session at Sri Prakash

On the occasion of World Meditation Day, 21st December, the students of Sri Prakash, one of the best Cambridge schools in Visakhapatnam, had the opportunity to engage in a richly beneficial meditation session led by Swapnalekha Basak, an inspirational leader with over 30 years of experience in social enterprise, HR, and mental health. Her guidance and teaching were insightful and profound, helping the students grow by setting them on a path to self- discovery, mindfulness, and personal growth.

The session began with the teachings of great spiritual gurus like Mahaavtar Babaji, Sri Bhoga Siddhar, Attma Anandamayi Ammagaru, and the Dhruva Tara story. These revered sages are known for their deep spiritual wisdom and transformational teachings. Swapnalekha Ma’am delved into their philosophies, urging the students to understand the importance of inner peace and mindfulness in this fast-paced world.

One of the high points of the session was Swapnalekha Ma’am’s emphasis on SushumnaKriya Yoga, an intense practice that can sharpen focus, clarity, and mental sharpness. She explained how yoga benefits not only the body but also strengthens the mind and emotions. By including Sushumna Kriya Yoga in daily life, students can develop more awareness and tap into their inner energy to succeed in all aspects of life.

Swapnalekha Ma’am also stressed the importance of proper postures during meditation. She said that maintaining an erect, relaxed posture allows energy to flow freely and helps maintain mental alertness.

The chanting of the sacred sound “Aum” was another key part of the session. The sound “Aum” is the universal vibration that fosters unity and peace. According to Swapnalekha Ma’am, chanting Aum aligns the body and mind. The resonating sound of Aum is said to bring harmony and balance, helping one come closer to their inner self. The students followed her lead and chanted Aum together, experiencing the soothing, transformative effects of the sound.

Additionally, Swapnalekha Ma’am introduced the “Three SSS Formula”: Smart, Speedy, and Sharp. She explained that these qualities are nurtured through consistent yoga practice and mindful living. Yoga sharpens the mind and enhances decision-making abilities, helping individuals become more efficient and effective in both their personal and professional lives. In today’s world, being smart, speedy, and sharp is essential.

Sri Prakash, one of the best Cambridge schools in Visakhapatnam, is known for its commitment to providing a well-rounded education that goes beyond academics. The meditation session with Swapnalekha Ma’am perfectly aligns with the school’s ethos of promoting holistic development in students.
