Every year on 14th September, comes up with vibrant celebrations as the students and staff  of our school join the nation in commemorating Hindi Diwas. This special day is a tribute to the significance of the Hindi language, and it holds a special place in the hearts of students, teachers, and staff members alike. The celebration is a testament to the school’s commitment to preserving and promoting India’s linguistic heritage while nurturing a deep sense of cultural pride. Hindi Diwas, celebrated across the nation, marks a crucial moment in India’s history. It was on this day in 1949 that the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi in the Devanagari script as one of the official languages of the country. This decision was not merely about language; it symbolized the unity in diversity that is the essence of India. Hindi, being one of the most widely spoken languages, was chosen to bridge linguistic gaps and promote national integration. The celebration of Hindi Diwas at Sri PrakashVidyaniketan, the best cbse school in Vizag is a spectacle to behold. The day kicks off with a lively rally that winds its way through the school’s corridors, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of drums. The energy is infectious, and it sets the tone for the entire day. Students take to the corridors, holding placards and banners, echoing the sentiments of “Jai Hindi Jai Bharat.” This symbolic gesture showcases their dedication to the language and their enthusiasm for the celebration. One of the highlights of the celebration is the dance performance. Their graceful moves and enthusiasm add an extra layer of charm to the festivities. The programme not only entertains but also showcases the rich cultural heritage of India. The celebration also includes a Nukaad Natak, a street play, which captivates everyone with its engaging storyline and social messages. It’s a scene where everyone comes together to enjoy a dose of drama and cultural reflection. Quizzes and seminars are conducted that portrays linguistic and cultural importance of Hindi. These are not just informative but also inspiring, encouraging students to embrace their linguistic heritage. The cultural aspect of Hindi Diwas is well-represented with music, dance, and theatrical performances. From little kids singing Hindi vowelsong to seniors presenting thought-provoking skit, every act resonates with the significance of the Hindi language. Hindi Diwas serves as a reminder that while Hindi holds a prominent place, it also signifies respect for all languages that make up the nation’s cultural mosaic. The celebration promotes unity, cultural exchange, and the preservation of India’s rich heritage. In conclusion, the celebration of Hindi Diwas here is not just a school event; it’s a celebration of India’s cultural and linguistic diversity. It reaffirms the importance of Hindi as a language that unites the nation and celebrates the rich cultural heritage that defines India. It’s a day of pride, unity, and a deep appreciation for the linguistic and cultural treasure that is Hindi. Jai Hindi! Jai Bharat!

Best Article Awards presented by INTACH

Being born in the country of culture, vast amount of resources, many of us don’t recognize the history or the travel of the resource. Through this platform of INTACH club, I got an opportunity to research, explore and evaluate about the history of fabric “Jute”.   It is well known that fibre was first used to build shelters and later to create garments and other utility items.  Being astonished of its history and its greatness, I wrote a few paragraphs on its importance and its uses. Throughout my writing experience I felt proud for writing a small article that could give knowledge about this fabric’s precious history to many others. My gratitude to the INTACH club for constantly educating others and reminding the fact that ‘OLD IS GOLD’. My article which was published in the Young Intach News letter : “A True saying that, “give value to your life”, in our case taking jute into considerations, this fabric woven from a fibre truly fits the quote. Jute played a key role in the textile from the third millennium B.C. The fabric ‘Jute’ caught the eye of the people in British and they started trading the fabric during the 17th Century, i.e during the World War I Billions of jutes sand bags were exported from Bengal to the trenches. This Jute Industry had a hike in the 18th and 19th century. But, due to the entering of the synthetic fibres in 1970 the graph went down. In the Current century jute once again showed its importance in the export crop. Even after these many centuries it holds its place strong than ever.”                                                                                –  B APRAMAYAWSRI, X A I felt very happy when I got the best article in Young Intach Heritage Competition. The moment I got that certificate in my hands, I felt that I have achieved a very great feat. I have gained confidence that is sufficient for my life. I felt very proud of myself.    My article which was published in the Young Intach Newsletter under the heading ‘Stately Splendours’ is as follows: KGH is a Government General Hospital located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the largest and busiest government hospital in Andhra Pradesh.  The hospital has been serving the needs of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjacent Orissa for more than 177 years. The hospital takes nearly 1000 cases(OPA) daily, of people coming from even Orissa and Chhattisgarh. It was started by an Army dispensary in 1845 and upgraded into a 30 bedded hospital in 1857. The hospital’s new building was inaugurated by Honorable Raja of Panagal, Chief Minister of Madras on 19th July 1923. The hospital sees over 1250 out patients every day in various departments.  It is one of the few modern institutions in Visakhapatnam that spends almost two centuries of continuous service, even in this pandemic time. The hospital is built with dressed stone masonry. It consists of a majestic symmetrical three – storied building with a four – storied clock tower. The hospital was named after the Monarch Ruler of Visakhapatnam, King George.                                                                                     –  K. LAKSHMI PRANAV, X B As a citizen of India, I am glad to know about our culture and heritage of India. This makes me explore more about it. Young Intach platform helped to learn and explore more about India’s culture and heritage. Involving in these activities helped me to understand more about heritage. I came to know that the saying of “Old is Gold” is always true, which depicts the old culture of India. –  R. YASWANTH, X B

Children’s Day Celebrations

Children’s Day is the most auspicious day in the life of every child. In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He loved children dearly and is fondly remembered as Chacha Nehru by them. Pandit Nehru was very fond of kids and advocated children’s education as he strongly believed that they were the future leaders of the nation. He was a strong believer of instilling rich moral virtues in children. He was of the opinion that children should be moulded from a young age properly so that they can become productive and responsible citizens of the country. Children’s Day, therefore, emphasises the importance of showering love and affection to each child. It is celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm across the country. Every child cherishes this day as they get to enjoy it to the fullest. It is important to remember that this special occasion is celebrated to take Pandit Nehru’s dream of providing quality education to each child so that they can become the future building blocks of the nation and contribute towards the greater benefit of the society. On this occasion of children’s Day this year Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan has organized various fun games and activities. Each and every one took an active participation and played fun games with enthusiasm. There was over Joyce and happiness filled in everyone’s faces.  A variety of games were conducted for children from classes 1 to 10. There were games like Basket Ball, Tennis, Rubik’s Cube, Chess, Skating, Taekwondo etc. Everyone’s innate talents were exhibited in the games that were conducted. All our Prakashites were eagerly waiting for such an opportunity since a long time. Selections were also done for a few sports for the next level. A Cut- throat competition was prevailing amongst us during the competitions. Children from each class gad a different sport or a game and class wise winners and runners were selected for every event. I too participated in a few of them viz. ‘How I Teach’, ‘Chess’, ‘Rubic Cube’ and ‘Basketball’. There were other competitions held too like Elocution, Story Telling, ‘One-Minute- Talk’ etc. Students from classes 6 to 10 have participated and given their best by explaining various topics using Power Point Presentation, Charts, Models and many other interesting resources. There was a beautiful interaction between the students and the explainer in the ‘How I teach’ session. I was overwhelmed with all the games and competitions held. On the very special day, all our teachers have conducted the assembly replacing us which was pretty fun to watch. A humorous skit was also performed awakening the spirit of ‘Eradication Plastic usage’. The later part of the day, we were shown a motivational movie. On the whole, the day was filled with fun and Frolic.  For this beautiful experience,  I thank my school Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, the best school in Visakhapatnam for giving me this opportunity and experience. –  B HEMAMADHURI, X A

Finally, this is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had till now and I’ll be treasuring it.” – Ch.Krishna Prakash (Class XII) “I got the chance to interact with both National and International students. Rithika (Class XI) “I have learnt how different opinions can affect a topic, how contradicting opinions can be brought together and how implementations can be done so that everyone in the committee can be satisfied. Lalithya (Class XI) “The debating sessions were quite engaging, funfilled and knowledgeable at the same time. Overall, it was a wonderful program for me because here it’s not only about the award or certificate which has an immense value but also about the outside world and how to coordinate with others.” – M.Sishir Prasad Raju (Class VIII) “It was my first time to CHEMUN and also debating. Each one Plant one

PAPAYA SEEDS DISTRIBUTION Fruits are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, and have proved beneficial in controlling the body weight. They are a part of a healthy eating pattern and a balance diet. On 22nd October 2022, Our school had distributed Papaya seeds to all the students, to help them understand the benefits of papaya fruit. Both the students and their parents had a great time while planting the papaya seeds in their gardens. We come to know this through the happy feedback given by our Prakashites. I remember my grandmother had told me that Papaya fruit is very good for health and fitness. People often think that we can eat only papaya fruits and discard its seeds and favor the fruit’s sweet flesh. What they don’t realise is that the seeds are not only edible but also highly nutritious. Papaya seeds supply a hearty dose of fiber, they also help to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol levels in our body. I am glad that I have planted a papaya plant in my garden and I hope that this plant proves to be beneficial in the upcoming future, both for me and my parents.  I am excited and I am looking forward for this plant to grow as soon as possible. So that I would get to taste such yummy fruit (which is planted by me and my parents). I thank my School Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, the best school in Visakhapatnam for such, sweet little casing gesture. – C. Harshilkarthikeya, VII B Consumption of papaya is very beneficial for our body as it increases our appetite and strength. It is a rich source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Papaya cures dengue, prevents cancer, promotes, heart health, strengthen, bones, eases menstrual pain and reduces sleep. It is one of the nutritious fruit that we all must include in our diet. Papaya because of its unique flavour also finds place in different recipes. It can also be a potentially healthy snack while compared to all other unhealthy junk foods. I am happy that my school has come up with such a brilliant idea, that would in turn promote good and healthy habits. I thank Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, the best CBSE school in Visakhapatnam for such a thoughtful plan. – E.
