The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Professor Y.Satyanarayana, former Vice Chancellor of AP Law University, and Dr. Kolla Siva Rama Krishna, former Vice Chancellor of GITAM and Sri Srinivasa Acharyulu, Pradhan Archakulu of Simhachalam Devastanam, Visakhapatnam. The ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ritual, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the illumination of knowledge. This was followed by a warm and heartfelt welcome address delivered by the Chief Administrative Officer, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations. The Sri Prakash Band then took to the stage, enthralling the audience with a captivating medley of popular numbers. Their performance included the iconic RRR movie theme, the timeless James Bond 007 theme, and the electrifying "Final Countdown" by Europe, leaving the audience spellbound. A heart warming video presentation followed, showcasing the journey of the graduating batch through their years at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan. This nostalgic presentation filled the air with emotions, as students and parents alike reminisced about the memorable moments and milestones achieved over the years. Representatives from different branches of Grade XII took to the stage to share their personal experiences and reflections, highlighting the camaraderie, challenges, and triumphs that defined their time at the school. Juggling lesson plans, student needs, and administrative duties can take a toll, leading to stress that impacts not just teacher’s well-being but also the classroom environment. Recognizing this, our campus hosted the “Empowering Educators: Stress Management Workshop”. This insightful session, led by the esteemed Ms. Penumaka Padmaja, Principal of Visvodaya CBSE School, and Mrs. Sreedevi Atluri, International School Coordinator at Delhi Public School, Ukkunagaram, aimed to equip teachers with practical strategies to navigate the demands of their profession. Moving beyond a theoretical discussion, the workshop offered a valuable platform for teachers to explore the multifaceted nature of stress and its impact. The session broke down how stress can manifest in our lives, delving into its effects on our physical health, causing issues like headaches, fatigue, and even weakened immune systems. The psychological impact was also explored, highlighting how stress can contribute to anxiety, decreased focus, and even burnout. The social aspect wasn't ignored either, with the workshop acknowledging how stress can strain relationships with colleagues, students, and loved ones. Understanding the “why” behind stress is crucial, but the true strength of the workshop lay in its focus on the “how” Ms. Padmaja and Mrs. Atluri led participants through a series of interactive exercises, equipping them with practical tools to manage both short-term and long-term stress. Techniques like positive affirmations and mindfulness practices were introduced, allowing teachers to cultivate a sense of calm amidst the daily whirlwind. The workshop wasn’t just about individual well-being; it also addressed the importance of setting healthy boundaries. Mrs. Atluri introduced the “seven rules of life,” a framework that encourages taking time for thoughtful decision-making and prioritizing self-care. This resonated with teachers, reminding them that prioritizing their own well-being is not selfish but essential for creating a positive and productive classroom environment. The “Empowering Educators: Stress Management Workshop” surpassed the typical seminar format. It fostered a sense of community amongst teachers, allowing them to share experiences and learn from one another. The positive feedback from attendees was the evidence to the success of the workshop. By equipping our educators with tools to manage stress, we can foster a more positive and enriching learning environment for both teachers and students.
