Bhava Sangeetham

Honouring, nurturing and preserving heritage and tradition following the concept “Our Country… Our Culture … Our Children…” has been an integral part of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Tarang; the music and dance club of the school opens up opportunities for the students to soak in the melody of the rich classical music and dance while inculcating traditional values in them. Bhava Sangeetham places a greater emphasis on the song’s expressions rather than rigidly adhering to regulations. It is an awe-inspiring Landscape  of Indian classical music. Tarang – Music and Dance club of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan enabled the students to imbibe the essence of this rich traditional culture of Indian Classical Art form through two renowned personalities Ms. Shreya Ramnath, a distinguished scholar and singer, and Madam Sreemathi Ramnath, a revered Leadership Consultant and trainer. Their artistic prowess resonated in a harmonious blend of classical and devotional melodies, unraveling the emotional tapestry of Bhava Sangeetham and evoking an immersive experience for all. Ms. Sreemathi calls for training the students in heart skills so that they can have the quality of empathy and be mindful of themselves. Her words were also a guidance to the students, enhancing the values of listening to the music and poetry. She opened the treasure chest of the poetry that was left by the ancestors and bestowed the students with its value which cultivated a pride in them of the affluent culture prevailing in our country. Ms. Shreya and Ms. Sreemathi enchanted us with a soulful journey through Bhava Sangeetham in a melodious vice, enabling an emotional and immersive experience. Ms.Shreya’s renditions in Sanskrit, Telugu, and Bengali, were more than mere songs; they were captivating narratives. Each note painted vivid portraits, whether in the ode to the sacred river Godavari, the heartfelt homage to India as a nurturing mother, or the mesmerizing fusion of Tagore’s iconic “Ekala Chalo Re,” uniting the essence of Bengali and Telugu. Her performance, a testament to linguistic and musical harmony, stirred emotions and bridged diverse cultural facets whereas Ms. Sreemathi nurtured its old values by elucidating the meaning and its background. The magic created by them took everyone on a captivating musical voyage. Students of Sri Prakash immersed themselves in this unique atmosphere.  Ms. Sreemathi’s nurturing elucidation of the songs’ origins and meanings anchored the performances in their deep-rooted traditions, imparting a profound understanding to the eager students. Their wealth of experience imparted not just melodies but a deeper appreciation for the art form’s legacy, guiding the students into an immersive exploration of Bhava Sangeetham’s timeless allure. The students were enriched with invaluable insights into the cultural heritage and the deeper meanings embedded within each note. This enriching and beautiful journey not only transported the audience but also bestowed them with a newfound reverence and understanding for the captivating world of enchanting melodies and its profound heritage.

The Hydro Harmony Initiative under the aegis of YOUTH IDEATHON. Prakashities grabbed the opportunity to create a promising innovation in the Youth Ideathon 2023. The ambitious project ; Hydro Harmony Initiative, developed by young students of Sri Prakash positioned itself among the top 1000 from among one lakh teams across India, showcasing the power of innovative thinking in addressing critical issues. In collaboration with “Think Startup,” the initiative aims to revolutionize the way communities deal with water scarcity and contamination challenges. The students involved in Mission and Objectives The Hydro Harmony Initiative’s mission is crystal clear – to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water in regions plagued by water scarcity and contamination, implementing water purification and conservation methods to establish a sustainable and dependable supply of clean water for affected communities. Implementation Strategy To transform this vision into reality, the first step involves a comprehensive assessment and research. Understanding the unique challenges of each community is crucial for tailoring the initiative to their specific needs. Community engagement plays a pivotal role in this process, ensuring that solutions provided are culturally and socially relevant yet effective Benefits of the Hydro Harmony Initiative The impact of this initiative extends far beyond just quenching the immediate thirst of communities, directly contributing to enhanced health and well-being. The ripple effect also extends to environmental conservation, as sustainable water practices are integrated into the fabric of communities. “Know about Homi Bhabha” – Quiz on

The conduction of a quiz on the book “Know about Homi Bhabha” for classes 6, 7, and 8 was a thrilling and insightful event that engaged around 250 children in a celebration of literature and knowledge. The quiz aimed to test the students’ understanding of the book and enhance their comprehension and critical thinking skills. The event was meticulously organized, with six teams being chosen for the final rounds after a rigorous preliminary test. Dr. CV Narasimham, Retd. principal Ramnath secondary school and his student Dr Bhargavi ( MBBS ) were invited to conduct the final quiz. The event comprised six rounds, each designed to challenge the participants’ knowledge of the book and its thematic elements. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as the teams prepared to showcase their mastery of the text. The subsequent rounds delved into the characters, plot, and themes of “Homi Bhabha.” The questions were crafted to assess the depth of the students’ understanding and their ability to analyze and interpret the nuances of the book. The atmosphere was charged with intellectual fervor as the participants demonstrated their passion for literature and their dedication to mastering the content of “Homi Bhabha.” Dr. CV Narasimham guided the proceedings with a balanced and insightful approach, encouraging the students to think critically and articulate their perspectives with confidence. His expertise and encouragement enriched the experience, fostering a sense of intellectual curiosity and scholarly engagement among the participants. The Director Sri Ch.Vasu Prakash and the audience, comprising fellow students, and teachers, applauded and congratulated the winning teams and the participants for their exemplary performance and commendable dedication to literary exploration. In conclusion, the conduction of the quiz on “Homi Bhabha” for classes 6, 7, and 8 was a resounding success, igniting the spirit of literary inquiry and critical thinking among the participants. The event underscored the vision of our Director and profound impact of literature in broadening horizons and nurturing a love for reading and learning. Dr. CV Narasimham’s adept facilitation and the students’ fervent participation created an indelibleimpression, fostering a culture of intellectual exploration and scholarly excellence. Our team won 1 st prize in the Homi Bhabha quiz competition. We made new friends and increased our knowledge and it was a really good experience. At first we were really nervous but after answering a few questions we were confident that we would do it. It was a teamwork with fun and information and are looking forward to participate in more such activities. Thanks to our school for providing such a good opportunity. A Fascinating Journey Through Karnataka’s Educational and

Our Yatra 2023 led us to a captivating exploration of various places in Karnataka. From the heart of Bengaluru to the serene landscapes of Mysore and Coorg, we had the privilege of visiting a multitude of enriching locations, each offering a unique experience that broadened our horizons. Our first stop was the Dr.U.R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) in Bengaluru, Karnataka, a foundation of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The visit opened our eyes to the intricacies of satellite development, space exploration, and ISRO’s ambitious missions URSC embodies the spirit, contributing to India’s space endeavors and inspiring us to dream big in the field of space technology. Our journey through the heart of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), one of the world’s oldest and largest aerospace and defense manufacturers, was an enlightening experience. The museum showcased HAL’s rich history and contributions to India’s defense evolution. As we explored the various aircraft and helicopters produced by HAL, we couldn’t help but appreciate the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into each machine. Our stay at Fortune Select JP Cosmos in Bengaluru offered us a blend of modern comforts and hospitality. This enchanting hotel allowed us to recharge and savor local delicacies. The Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum in Bengaluru was a sanctuary for science enthusiasts. It sparked our curiosity about the wonders of science and technology. Albert Einstein once said, “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.” This museum allowed us to experience the beauty of science’s mysteries and inspired us to delve deeper into its realm. The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium was a celestial wonderland. It revealed the marvels of the cosmos, inspiring us to contemplate our place in the universe. We were gifted with a chance to explore the stars, constellations, and planets. This visit expanded our perspective and kindled a love for astronomy. Our trip to Lulu Mall in Bengaluru was more than just shopping; it was an adventure in joy and excitement. As we enjoyed mouth watering dishes, we realized that moments like these are treasures that create lasting memories. Our visit to the Vidhan Soudha building was a brief yet impactful experience. The grandeur of Karnataka’s legislative power symbolized democracy in action. Our visit to the historic Ranganatha Swamy Temple in Srirangapatnam was a spiritual journey through India’s cultural heritage. This temple, with its intricate Dravidian architecture, left us enriched and appreciative of our rich cultural heritage. The Mysore Palace is a true architectural gem that transported us to India’s royal past. Its grandeur and rich history resonated a sort of divinity as well. This visit instilled in us a deep appreciation for our heritage. Our visit to the Kushal Nagar Buddhist Monastery in Coorg was spiritually enriching. The Golden Temple and interactions with the monks left us inspired to explore the rich Tibetan culture. Our journey through Karnataka’s educational and cultural wonders was an enriching experience. From space exploration to historical sites, science museums to majestic palaces, and serene temples to modern malls, each destination left a permanent mark on our hearts and minds. These enchanting places broadened our horizons, inspired our dreams, and ignited our passion for knowledge and exploration. As we continue our educational journey, we carry the memories of this remarkable yatra, which will forever guide us towards new horizons.

KIDS DAY 2023

The VMRDA Children’s Arena echoed with enthusiasm as students and faculty of Sri Prakash Vidyaneketan came together to celebrate Kids’ Day with a touch of tradition and modern flair. The day commenced with a soulful Indian prayer song that transported everyone into a serene atmosphere, setting the tone for a day filled with joy and learning. The school band, comprising of Primary students then took centre stage, dazzling the audience with a spirited performance that had everyone tapping their feet in unison. The festivities continued with Dr. Rajaganapathi, Joint Secretary GVP, Vizag delivering an inspiring speech on the immeasurable value of parents in a child’s life, emphasizing the significance of love, guidance, and support. Following this, Dr. Rajini Mukherjee, renowned Paediatrician ;enlightened the gathering on various health aspects crucial for children’s well-being, emphasising the importance of a balanced lifestyle and regular exercise. The day reached its pinnacle with an enchanting performance of shadow hand puppetry by the renowned Sri Prahlad Acharya,Shadow artist, ventriloquist and story teller, leaving the audience spellbound. The auditorium reverberated with laughter and joy as the little ones grooved to popular tunes like “Athidi Devo Bhava,” “Chick Chickaling,” “Krishna,” “Mickey,” and the adorable “Minion” dance, showcasing their infectious energy and creativity. In a heartfelt tribute to the incredible achievements of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the Prakashites demonstrated their artistic prowess with a live painting session. Each stroke of the brush painted a canvas of appreciation for ISRO’s remarkable contributions to space exploration, fostering a sense of pride and admiration among the students and spectators alike. The grand finale of the evening unfolded with the children taking the stage once again, this time to the beats of “Bum Bum Bhole,” “We Will Rock You,” and a vibrant Diwali song, captivating the audience with their enthusiasm and skill. The celebration culminated on a patriotic note with everyone standing tall for the National Anthem, symbolising unity, pride, and the spirit of being a Prakashite. Sri Prakash Vidyaneketan’s Kids’ Day emerged as not just a day of celebration but a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, confident, and culturally aware individuals.The students were honored with mementoes, commemorating a celebration that blended tradition, knowledge, and entertainment—a true reflection of Sri Prakash Vidyaneketan’s commitment to holistic education.

“Celebrating Creativity and Excellence: Toyota Dream Car

In a celebration of creativity, talent, and community spirit, Sri Prakash School recently hosted a spectacular event on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The event was graced by esteemed guests – Mrs. Jeeja Valsaraj, Shri Ch. Raghavendra Rao, Dr. K. Radhakrishna, and Prof. V. Ramesh. Their insightful speeches added depth to the evening, emphasizing the importance of creativity, education, and community support. The evening was a tribute to the father of the nation and a showcase of the incredible achievements of the school’s students in the Toyota Dream Car Contest. The event also featured mesmerizing performances by the young Music & Dance Club, a live band, and a heart-warming reflection from the proud parents of the winners. The event commenced with a profound homage to Mahatma Gandhi. 150 portraits of Bapuji, exhibited by the young artists of the school, at the India International Centre in 2020, were a demonstration to the enduring legacy of Gandhiji . The highlight of the evening was the recognition of the school’s students in the Toyota Dream Car Contest, where Kumari Sruthi Manojna from class X, emerged as the best finalist from among more than 7 lakh entries across 90 countries. A source of immense pride for the entire Sri Prakash fraternity were ten other students who deserved positions as finalists. The evening was infused with cultural richness as the young Music & Dance Club, named Tarang, captivated the audience with their performances. The welcome dance, live band, and various musical genres showcased the diverse talents nurtured within the Sri Prakash community. The Award Ceremony was a pivotal moment, acknowledging the exceptional achievements of students across various fields. The International Skating Champion, B. Rushil, and the talented artists who excelled in the Toyota Dream Car Contest were honoured on the stage. The event also provided a platform for the proud parents of the achievers to share their reflections .The Director of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Shri CH. Hindi Diwas: A Vibrant Tribute to India’s

Every year on 14th September, comes up with vibrant celebrations as the students and staff  of our school join the nation in commemorating Hindi Diwas. This special day is a tribute to the significance of the Hindi language, and it holds a special place in the hearts of students, teachers, and staff members alike. The celebration is a testament to the school’s commitment to preserving and promoting India’s linguistic heritage while nurturing a deep sense of cultural pride. Hindi Diwas, celebrated across the nation, marks a crucial moment in India’s history. It was on this day in 1949 that the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi in the Devanagari script as one of the official languages of the country. This decision was not merely about language; it symbolized the unity in diversity that is the essence of India. Hindi, being one of the most widely spoken languages, was chosen to bridge linguistic gaps and promote national integration. The celebration of Hindi Diwas at Sri PrakashVidyaniketan, the best cbse school in Vizag is a spectacle to behold. The day kicks off with a lively rally that winds its way through the school’s corridors, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of drums. The energy is infectious, and it sets the tone for the entire day. SRI PRAKASH HONOURS INDIAN CLASSICAL ARTS

The inaugural session of “Tarang”,  a cultural initiative by Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, was a resounding success, celebrating the rich heritage of Indian Classical Arts, with a particular focus on Indian Classical Music and Dance styles. The event, held in a warm and inviting atmosphere, brought together students, teachers, esteemed guests, and art enthusiasts to embark on a journey into the world of classical arts. The main event commenced with a profound Sanskrit invocation, emphasising the essence of music and the blissful unification brought by dance. The founder members of the club were called on the dias  to be recognised by all.   The president of the club, P.Sri Harshavardhan welcomed the attendees and introduced “Tarang”.   In his eloquent introduction, he explained how the word “Tarang” signifies both rhythmic and melodic patterns in music and the waves of devotion in Kuchipudi dance. “Tarang” Club, as Harshavardhan described, is a platform dedicated to nurturing and spreading the knowledge of Indian Classical Music and Dance. Their mission is to create a vibrant community of enthusiasts who appreciate these art forms and wish to share their beauty with the world. The club intends to achieve this through seminars, lecture demonstrations, workshops, and performances by budding artists within the school. The event proceeded with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, graced by Dr.Maalyada Anand and other distinguished guests. Dr.Maalyada Anand, an accomplished Kuchipudi practitioner, dance academician, and cultural studies researcher, was the keynote speaker. Her impressive credentials and profound knowledge set the tone for an enlightening seminar. Dr.Maalyada’s presentation delved into the history of Kuchipudi, tracing its roots and evolution over centuries. Accompanied by talented artists, Vidwan Anand Srihari, Shri Adithya, and Kum. Sri Varsha, her seminar provided a captivating insight into the art form, its significance, and its cultural relevance. The seminar was followed by an engaging question and answer session, where attendees had the opportunity to further explore the intricacies of Kuchipudi and Indian classical arts. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Vice President, M.Vanij Varma, expressing gratitude to the esteemed speakers, guests, teachers, and the audience. It emphasised the importance of their presence in making the event a memorable and enriching experience. In his closing remarks, the Director,  Sri Chitturi Vasu Prakash congratulated the initiative of the students and praised the  event and its significance in preserving and promoting Indian classical arts. The dedication and passion of the participants were acknowledged, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives. Overall, the inaugural session of “Tarang” was a splendid celebration of Indian Classical Arts, uniting enthusiasts and experts in a shared appreciation for the beauty, depth, and cultural significance of these timeless art forms. It set a promising precedent for future endeavours to spread the magic of classical music and dance to wider audiences.

A COLOURFUL AND ECSTATIC SUMMER MONTH

The summer camp of 2023 was a joyous platter of activities presented to the students. During the months of March and April, students right from classes 3 to 9 were indulged in creating melodies, dancing to electrifying rhythms, exploring the aesthetics in painting and sculpting, and enlivening on the ground with sports.  The compilation of such an exuberant camp was indeed one to remember. An aura of glee filled Sri Prakash everyday when the vibrant camp activities came around in the afternoon.   Students rushed to their respective camp arenas in Math lab, Computer lab, Library, ATL lab, Dance studio and the Conference hall with recorders, paints, accessories in their hands, all set to let the co-scholastic  learning begin. Workshops on art, science, literature, and personality development were designed to foster holistic growth.   Additionally, we incorporated sports, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises to infuse a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition. The end results of such vivid enthusiasm was portrayed on the last day of summer camp, the 30th of April, when an open house was conducted at school with Ms. Vaishali Kulkarni More, a renowned lady biker from the city  as the dignitary of the Event. The programme started with an electrifying performance by the band which infused a sense of nostalgia as well as a vibe that left the audience in awe. The hall roared as the music waved through it. Ms.Vaishali Kulkarni More, the First Solo Woman Biker of Andhra Pradesh, in her address to the gathering, appreciated the development of interests in students and encouraged them to indulge in activities for a better livelihood for themselves. She persuaded everyone by instilling that life gives us the three C’s – Chance, Choice and Change, in accordance to which we can live our life to the fullest. The event then unfolded with a classical dance by senior girls of classes 8 and 9 to the serene song “ Ekadantaya Vakratundaya”, followed by an invigorating performance by senior boys from classes 8 through 10, rocking the stage with their choreography and leaving the crowd wild. Juniors came in next, swooping the gathering in their swoony and adorable dance to the fusion of “chai chai, coffee coffee” and “Pikachu song”. “ they were so cute, it was perfect” a parent commented. The stage was taken over by the senior girls next, displaying their groovy move-set to some toe-tapping songs. The event concluded with an awards presentation to the students for the activities held in the camp and a memento presentation to our honorary guest. A food fest was set up on the school ground by the Cookery Club of the school. The menu included various Indian delicacies to snack on. The students gathered up in exhilaration, obtaining tokens in teamwork and savouring every flavor served in this vibrant exhibition, wrapping it up with a treat.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

On the 15th of August, the Sri Prakash fraternity came together at their Kapuluppada campus  to celebrate the 77th glorious Independence Day of India! It was a tapestry woven with  patriotism, unity, and cultural brilliance. The Campus was decorated by the students with a  tri-color theme. The guests for the day and well known Gastroenterologist, Dr Chalapathi Rao Achanta and Indian Naval Commander Pushpajit Ojha, were welcomed to the ground  with a march past led by NCC cadets followed by the hoisting of the national flag. Boys from classes 6 to 10 dazzled the audience with their acrobatic finesse, shaping diverse figures like pyramids and a human centipede. The indoor activities began with speeches by the dignitaries. Dr Chalapathi Rao Achanta stressed the responsibilities of the students and parents in handling gadgets. Commander Ojha informed the students about discipline as an essential attribute to nation building, appreciating the skills of the students in their marching and acrobatics. U Harshita presented the Evolution of the Indian flag in Telugu. She unveiled how the flag is our cherished national identity, exclusive to every citizen. The flag’s origin and the remarkable journey that led to the official adoption of our iconic tricolor were described illustratively. Students of classes 7, 8 and 9 delivered a powerful rendition of “Ye Bhoomi Hamaare Veeronki.” The song conveyed that we are the descendants of valiant soldiers who bravely fought for our freedom, and live in the embrace of our heroic land. The cherubs gracefully danced to the tune of “Just Like You.” Their innocent charm, amplified by their attire, mirrored the traditional dresses from various states. Each step showed the rich cultural heritage of our nation, underlining the message that while our states boast diverse traditions, we remain united as Indians. A stimulating call to fellow citizens was made by Jatin in hindi, emphasizing our role in national progress. Yashas, in his eloquent speech “India of My Dreams,” recounted our journey and envisioned India to be an exemplar to the world. Senior girls of classes 8, 9 and 10 rocked the stage, fusing traditional and Western dance to “VandeMataram” and “Swagatham.” The room pulsed with energy as the audience cheered in exhilaration.
